Our Origin

우리의 기원

Synopsis

Two life forms embody the crystallization of nature, symbolizing our origins.
Their subtle movements begin with trembling motions. These tremors connect through waves, constantly filling any gaps. They exist independently without colliding with each other. However, the wavelengths of the energy they generate draw them closer, eventually becoming aware of each other's presence.

The organisms move in harmony with nature, following the cycles of the universe.
This work symbolizes the fusion of humans into one ecosystem, and interconnection and diversity of human beings.

The Invisible String

보이지 않는 끈

Synopsis

Are the ties between people formed from the moment they enter this world?
Do they continue within the context of our societal existence?
I believe that the ties are formed through both cirumstances.
However, the extensiveness of the ties between oneself and others cannot be the same for every person.
Just like a string that can be cut off when pulled too tightly from one side, relationships between people also require careful balance and adjustment.
It is like an invisible string that may seem visible, but actually isn't!
I wonder how many strings exist within myself, that I am unaware of?

The Principle of Reality

현실원칙

Synopsis

This performance piece establishes the so-called ‘damaged’ aspect of a dancer's ‘feet’ as the core of choreography. The dancer’s feet step on the ground, drags around, climbs on a rope in mid-air, wraps around the rope, and slips. At certain moments, the feet completely concealed. The "damaged" part of the dancer's body (in this case, the "feet") can either be seen as a obstacle or rather can create a different reality (romantic stories, fantasies, strangeness) that appeals to the audience with its unique qualities. However, instead of the feet being considered as an obstacle or as an element of fantasy and romance, could there also be a way for a "damaged part of the body" to exist as a vivid concentration of the entire body's reality?
